  • will be looking for another wagon...what's out there??

Hi everyone...first off..NO i am not selling my car..hahah actually my wife and i where talking about her car and how she's okay with it, she is thinking of getting something else...we thought of another wagon. I know this is a volvo site, and we may consider it, we are also keeping our options open...so what's out there????
    in wagons:
    Volvo
    Audi (don't think so)
Subaru (maybe, but i find them too light and tinny)...but maybe
VW (We had a passat before and was a good car..might consider new GOLF)
SAAB mmmm doesn't exist anymore, heard too many horror stories..
MAZDA..never really liked their cars, never heard a GREAT review on them

Did i miss anyone??? I think that's it..
So..in volvo, we thought either the V50 or V70...I think the V70 is more roomier but i think the V50 might be more for her...my only thing on either of these is WHICH ONE HAS BETTER TURNING RADIUS???cause i know my V70 sucks the bag!
price range: well it depends..we can sell our car or will consider trade-in (depending what is offered)
    any other suggestions? thanks

My first vote between your choices would go to the Golf wagon, really nice looking car. What engine were you interested into ? TDI ?

Audi's are money pits, I warn you... But you were comparing Subaru and Audi, they have the awd transmission in common... Have you thought about a Passat 4motion ? If you did like the passat, then get another one...

Subaru's are good too, but not economical at all versus the Passat's 2.0T. If you don't hit the gas, there's no point to say they have a big gas consumption.

If you want awd, passat 4motion.
If you want to get an economical fwd wagon, I would say golf tdi.

      I would go with a V50...

You have your choice of N/A or Turbo, FWD or AWD, and auto or manual. Great cars, ultra safe, fun to drive, and better turning radius than a P2...

The only problem I forsee is selling your wife's car. You just bought it recently, so you would have a huge hit in depreciation to overcome...

        hi guys...
EXAUDIMAN...i think the regual 2.5 engine...heard great reviews on it, even when it was in the rabbit..not the best in fuel efficiancy, but good none the less.we would probably get hte FWD model...we had a 2006 passat wagon with 2.0T before...good car and fast too!!! Not too keen on the subaru's though...we'll see.

ROger..not sure if it'll be that bad for her car..still under warranty and not much milage...in good shape...
i'll see for the V50...we might come by and test one out! ciao
