gas consumption on the 2.5T cars??

He everyone, just wanted to know what type of milage you are getting with your 2.5T volvo's?
right now on my 2006 V70 2.5T FWD i'm gettng about 500-530km (when gas light comes on). It lasts me about a week and i do a bit of stop and go traffic driving (off-island to downtown), with no A/C going as well. On the off chance that there is no traffic i like to cruise on the highway about 120-140km/h...Is this average with this engine?.thanks

When i had my 2004 V70R i was doing about the same milages, but i had a chip and with a chip on the highway you are supposed to do a few mills more on a tank.

Hey JS ya my brother also had his 98 V70R chipped not too long ago and he noticed that he was getting a bit better milage then before! crazy i tell ya.
Would getting a tranny software update (from dealership) effect gas consumption?

Well, my substantially heavier AWD 2.5T SUV gets anywhere from 450km until the needle touches the red line (no light) in the winter to 550km in the summer. Always with the same route: Laval to downtown everyday stuck in traffic.

I have a 2006 S60 FWD with the 2.5t. On a normal week, I do about 85% highway with no traffic. I figured about 740 kms per fill. (I go to the pump when its about '30kms to empty tank').

In the summer its about 9.0 l / 100 kms
In winter 9.8 l / 100 kms

My mom, with my XC70, goes about 600 km with one fill up. She does about 70% highway: Sherbrooke-Ayer's Cliff (near the american derby).

hmmm so something tells me that there is something not right...tire pressure is always checked (32psi front, 30 back), would having 17" tires make a difference?
i've done most of the regular maint. on the car:
k&n (in box) filter
plugs
tranny fluid flush
religious oil changes
fuel filter
anything missing???
what else can i look at?
unless i'm getting some turbo line leaks? but i doubt it...(i only have 85000km)
let me know what else i can do..

Pinstripe./....i don't really have a heavy foot, in the sense that i'm flooring it between stop lights...like i said i like to slowly get up to speed on the highway (120-140km/h)

+1 mais moi dans ma S80 je roule a 120-140 sur l'autoroute pis je fais 550km aik une tank.

comme aujourd'hui, je suis a 1/2 tank et j'ai maime pas faites 300km???? WTF???
