    Bonjour,
    J'ai une S70 2000 la semaine derniere j'ai fait faire la timing belt, kit de pompe a eau et tie rod/dr...cout total = 1400.34$
    2 jours apres etre revenu du garage mon check engine s'est allumé, j'ai fait faire la lecture de mes codes et voici ce que j'ai obtenu
    P0442
    P1603
    P1670
    Je me demande si cela fait suite a de mauvaises reparations ou bien ce sont de tous nouveaux problemes? Merci pour votre aide

    P0442 = ECM-4308 Leak diagnostic. Small leak


    Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information ECM-4308

    D2302283 Condition
    When the EVAP canister shut-off valve is closed the fuel tank system should be sealed. When the evaporative emission system (EVAP) valve is activated the fuel tank pressure must fall to a set negative pressure or it will be interpreted as a major leak. Then the evaporative emission system (EVAP) valve closes. The fuel tank pressure must not rise too quickly, this is interpreted as a minor leak. Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) ECM-4308 is stored if the control module registers a minor or major leak.

    None.

    Possible source

    Major leak:
    Leaking fuel tank, filler pipe, fuel tank filler cap, evaporative emission system (EVAP) canister, evaporative emission system (EVAP) canister shut-off valve or lines between these components
    Blocked evaporative emission system (EVAP) valve
    Blocked hoses to the fuel tank pressure sensor or defective fuel tank pressure sensor. Does not react to changes in pressure.
    Minor leak:
    Leaking fuel tank, fuel filler pipe, fuel tank filler cap, EVAP canister, canister purge (CP) valve, or in the hoses between these components.

      D2302202 Condition
      Turbo engines and 6-cyl non-turbo engines
      If Electronic throttle module (ETM) registers a too high difference between desired value and current value in the internal regulator or a too high current passes through the electronic throttle module's torque motor, then this information is sent to Engine control module (ECM), which then stores diagnostic trouble code ECM-91A7, Faulty control.
      5-cyl. non-turbo engines
      If Electronic throttle module (ETM) registers a too high difference between desired value and current value in the internal regulator, a too high current passes through the electronic throttle module's torque motor, or that the throttle disc does not move despite a control signal to the motor, then this information is sent to Engine control module (ECM), which then stores diagnostic trouble code ECM-91A7, Faulty control.

      Substitute value
      Fuel cut-off that follows accelerator pedal position.
      Engine speed is regulated via fuel cut-off by deactivating the injectors one at a time. Engine speed is determined by gas pedal position sensor position and engine speed is maximized to about 5000 rpm. This reconfiguration can cause the engine to idle very unevenly since the engine control module (ECM) regulates engine speed by cutting of the fuel to the cylinders individually. Do not confuse this reconfiguration (engine behavior) with an actual driveability problem that was present before reconfiguration.
      Closing of throttle during braking.
      The accelerator pedal position is ignored when the brake pedal is depressed.
      Cruise control off.
      Cruise control off during entire operating cycle in which fault was detected. If the fault is no longer present, the function is available the next time the car is started.
      Throttle switched off (only 5-cylinder aspiration engines).
      The electronic throttle module (ETC) deactivates the throttle motor control, which means that the throttle is not actuated and assumes its mechanical stop position. This means about 20% throttle opening. This reconfiguration is always followed by fuel cut-off.
      For upgraded software, released in 2006 or later, adjustments have been made to substitute values. In driving cycles when the fault is active, fuel shut-off that follows the accelerator pedal position will be activated.
      Identifying upgraded software ECM/ETM
      Possible source
      something is blocking the throttle position sensor (an oil film, dust etc.)
      poorly charged battery or corroded in the connecting cables
      the power supply to the throttle unit
      defective throttle unit.
      This diagnostic trouble code is generated in combination with other trouble codes. Information on the possible root cause is described.

      the ETS warning lamp lights (C70 and S/V70 -2000 only).

        D2800349 Condition
        The engine control module (ECM) interprets the following as faults: If the engine control module (ECM) does not communicate with the immobilizer control module within 2 seconds of the ignition being switched on, or the engine is started when the ignition has been on for too long without the ignition being turned off in between. “No communication”. If the +15 supply between the ignition and the engine control module (ECM) is switched on and off while driving, “faulty signal”. If a faulty VIN CODE is sent from the immobilizer control module. Diagnostic trouble code ECM-720A is stored.

        Faulty communication:
        the ignition has been switched on and off more than three times while driving.
        No communication:
        immobilizer control module in the diagnostic mode
        faulty key (transponder read off or not programmed)

          Typiquement ces codes ne sont pas associes a les reparations qui ont ete effectues, mais on ne sais jamais quest-ce que les gens ont touches...

                Pour le code P0442, c'était la ''Purge Valve'' (47.73 chez Volvo) dans mon cas. Dans mes recherches, c'était souvent cette pièce qui revenait dans les discussions pour ce code. Tel que recommandé, j'avais d'abord commencé par changer le bouchon du réservoir à essence (33.15 chez Volvo).
