Well I guess they used the Vespa name on foreign markets because in italy the only vespa branded thing was the scooter... and in France there was a Vespa car in the 50's

Krusty..ya i think you're right....and don't forget the ape! we'll be fixing ours up soon (runs but needs new brakes). It's crazy to drive that thing..kinda scary actually...hahaha

It is currently at my mechanic awaiting new brake shoes.. it's been sitting there for a month now...
We tried to find something locally but it was actually cheaper to have them shipped from the US...
I hope that it will be ready for next week end

actually it is the actual italien made vespa in that year they had 2 models the piagio sprint[scooter] and the piagio ciao[moped]

HEy STeve...ya the shop is called scootart, they are on st-laurent street...do a search and you'll find them. JF is the owner and a really cool guy, call and see if he can do a tune-up...he may have to order the parts, tell him you're a friend of mine.
